Yohn, why the henna? I can only think that you would be having it on your chest with the Ouroboros tattoo, yes? Isn't it used for only tattooing the hands? |
Henna can be done anywhere as it's a powder and ink type process (from my understanding). There's this lady at the Border's Pagan group by my house that knows my boyfriend that's going to do it for me.
Henna was only used for hands and feet a while ago, from my understanding, but it's become more popular on shoulders, legs, anywhere (my sister had a huge rose done on her back when she went to Florida last year). _________________

Yeah, i suppose. Being from Pakistan, i know about some stuff henna, although i never had any on my hands. It's used primarily by women at weddings. Some designs i've seen done look very cool, very intricate.
Anyways, good luck with that, Yohn. _________________ Guardian of Greenhill & Devoted Protector of Oulan

You're from Pakistan? That's so cool!
Yeah, I've seen a lot of really amazingly intricate designs as I've flipped through some henna guides. I'm horrible when it comes to any art medium that doesn't involve a pencil, so I'd probably do very poorly at henna. _________________

I'll have to take you on your word about your crappiness with art. :*laugh*:
I was thinking before on having tatoos of the True Lightning Rune, or some kanji. But that was years ago. Now i accept my skin as it is. Nearly. _________________ Guardian of Greenhill & Devoted Protector of Oulan

I want to get the the independent cross tattooed on both of my wrists. I'm just waiting for extra funds to go down to Santa Monica and get it done. |

Recently got the idea of getting one of the Runs from Suikoden as a Tatto...but I don't really know what would be a good choice. The True Fire rune, True Earth, Star, Or Dawn + Dusk does sound liek it would be pretty nifty...But I'm not sure, really.
EDIT: Also..due to the whoel Tattoo issue all too many work places have, I have to wonder where would be a good place. Gotta admit that between the SHoulderblades would be cool. but what with the spine being there, I'm guesiing it would HURT quite alot... |

Haha. The arms!! Go for the arms. Easy to conceal and just as easy to show off. If you get it on your back you'll have to take off your shirt every five seconds to show someone. Besides that, you'd need a mirror if you ever wanted to see it for yourself. Arms are much easier, just a matter of turning up a sleeve. Go for the arms!! _________________

i wish i would of saw your post here before i posted of what i said on your other topic scott. word of advice don't go with some thing that looks cool, in the long run you will not like it and will prolly regret it. go with some thing you will for sure know you will love for the rest of your life cause it will be there for the rest of your life unless you laser remove it.
since you said it would be your first, go with either the calf or the upper arm. they tend to be the best place for first time tattoos. that's what i did. got my calf done first, then my upper back, then my other calf and then my thigh. but if you think you can handle the pain of the shoulder blade by all means go for it. you will get used to the pain when they do the outline. _________________

Yeah, the upper arms are a good place to get them, especially if concealing them is high on your list of priorities. As someone mentioned, it's the perfect place for them to remain hidden while still being easy to show off.
I have just one tattoo on my upper left arm now (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v70/kuzukago/tattoo/1tattoopic.jpg). If things go the way i'd like them to, there are one or two more i'd like to get. _________________ "Our blades shall speak with eloquence what human words cannot." |
